The Dhermi Kiosk is a pro bono project responding to the rapid growth of tourism on the Albanian Riviera. As informal commercial structures began to occupy public spaces, the project proposed an affordable, replicable alternative for local vendors, improving the quality of the streetscape.

The design was developed through research by design, using physical models to explore form and proportions. The resulting 20 m² modular kiosk features a tapered canopy roof that opens to provide shade during trading hours and closes to secure goods at night. Built from readily available materials by local craftsmen, the structure can be adapted and relocated across the village. The project received a BIG SEE Award in 2026.
